The TG3 Rotogravure with daily spaces dedicated to nature and sport returns to Montespluga
In the picturesque locality of Montespluga, nestled in the heart of the Italian Alps, an innovative and sustainable model of winter tourism is emerging. This ski resort stands out for the complete absence of ski lifts, focusing entirely on ski mountaineering. Here, three young enthusiasts have formed a team dedicated to teaching this discipline, offering practical lessons both on skiing techniques and mountain safety, including avalanche risks.
The philosophy behind this project is clear: adapt to the mountain rather than forcing the mountain to adapt to human needs. This approach not only promotes a more authentic and environmentally respectful experience but also represents a response to the climate changes that are challenging traditional ski resorts.
Thanks to its altitude and geographical position, Montespluga continues to enjoy abundant snowfall, making it possible to practice ski mountaineering on varied and challenging routes. Supported by the local community and mountain enthusiasts, this project offers a viable and sustainable alternative for winter tourism, while also promoting environmental awareness and mountain safety.
